La Universidad de Salamanca (USAL), la Federación de Asociaciones de Retinosis Pigmentaria de España (FARPE) y la Fundación Lucha contra la Ceguera (Fundaluce) han firmado un acuerdo que posibilitará el contacto entre investigadores y pacientes afectados por enfermedades degenerativas de la retina.

Este pacto ha sido rubricado en el Rectorado de la USAL por la vicerrectora de Investigación de la Universidad de Salamanca, María Ángeles Serrano, y el presidente de FARPE y Fundaluce, Germán López.

El objetivo es contribuir al desarrollo social de proyectos científicos e impulsar la búsqueda de nuevas vías de investigación y progreso tecnológico, cultural y académico en el área de las distrofias de retina, así como todo lo referido al crecimiento social de proyectos solidarios en este área.

FARPE y Fundaluce son organizaciones sin ánimo de lucro que acogen a asociaciones de personas afectadas por enfermedades degenerativas de la retina.
