Pilar Sierra ha pintado un abanico para la Reina de España y también un mantón de Manila para la Duquesa de Alba.

Alfonso Vázquez «Mi meta es la luz, que es lo que me falta», asegura con una sonrisa Pilar Lasierra. Su piso en la avenida de Carlos Haya parece hecho enteramente de caballetes, pinceles y una cascada de colores que inundan lienzos de todos los tamaños y también botellas, que pinta a mano. «Mi mundo es este, mi hija vive conmigo y es mis pies y mis manos, aunque yo hago mis trucos, como salir a comprar por el mismo sitio», confiesa.

La de Pilar no ha sido una vida fácil. Nacida en Zaragoza hace 55 años –aunque vive en Málaga desde los 10– en 2001, cuando trabajaba de telefonista en el 061, le detectaron en los ojos una retinosis pigmentaria y maculopatía. «Yo siempre he tenido miopía y me defendía, pero me dijeron que esa enfermedad degeneraba en ceguera y no pude seguir trabajando», cuenta.

Tras un año de búsqueda, compró un lienzo en blanco y encontró en la pintura una razón más para seguir luchando. Lleva pintando desde 2003. En la actualidad, ha perdido la visión en el ojo derecho y conserva un 10% de visión en el izquierdo pero la pasión por pintar ha ido a más y no deja de motivarle.

«He tomado el lienzo como medio de expresión en una búsqueda incesante de crear y plasmar la luz que necesito», explica. A Pilar Lareina le gusta mucho la frase del artista Francis Bacon, quien dijo que «el misterio no está en el cuadro sino en cómo se ha pintado». Pilar descubrió que «no podía ni pintar realismo ni pintar una catedral porque no me alcanza la vista». Por eso su forma de pintar, casi tocando el lienzo, «y manchándome de pintura», ha conformado su estilo. «Pinto muy de cerca, hago manchas y después, al alejarme veo paisajes, es una pintura totalmente intuitiva», describe.

En cuanto a los materiales, descartado el óleo porque la trementina le molesta a los ojos, eligió el acrílico. Aunque le gusta más pintar abstracto «porque es más creación» también tiene muchos cuadros impresionistas, exuberantes paisajes y jardines, lo que ha hecho que algunos la comparen con Monet, quien también tuvo problemas de visión. Aunque ella también se compara un poco con Lola Flores: «De ella se decía que ni cantaba ni bailaba, pero era única. Y yo, ni pinto ni dibujo pero mis obras transmiten».

La artista pinta, por cierto, siempre dos cuadros a la vez. «No me puedo detener en uno solo, voy un poco acelerada por que sé que me voy a quedar ciega y quiero aprovechar, como Van Gogh, que pintó 500 cuadros».

Exposición en Benalmádena. No se olvida la pintora de José Luis Guzmán, el director de Tívoli, donde participó en su primer certamen y que le dio tanto apoyo. Su trayectoria no ha parado desde entonces, y ha tenido exposiciones individuales en lugares como la sala de exposiciones del aeropuerto de Málaga, el castillo de Bil-Bil de Benalmádena o la sala cultural de la ONCE en la capital. Además, tiene la promesa del alcalde de Málaga de que se hará una exposición con su obra. Esta misma semana, el próximo viernes 1 de junio, participará, junto a otra pintora, en una exposición en el hotel Holiday Inn de Benalmádena (antigua N340, pk.215,6), hasta el día 27 de junio (entrada libre).

Pilar Lasierra dice no sentirse en absoluto ama de casa sino una artista que no puede guardar su energía y no deja de crear. Por eso, sin que le abandone la sonrisa mira su casa repleta de cuadros y declara: «Mientras me quede un rayo de luz, seguiré pintando».
